My home in Costa Rica, the beatiful Turrialba

Situated between the Talamanca Moutntains, the active volcano by th same name and The Reventazon River, the town of Turrialba is a small city known for its fertile soil, majestic scenery and amazing setting to practice adventure sports like mountain biking, hiking, white water rafting & kayaking and canyoneering.

Its a small town which bases it economy in farming and tourism, an offers a peacefull setting for living for those, who like me,
seek a haven away from the traffic, insecurity and overcrowding of San Jose, the capital. Yet the location is close enough to visit for shopping, theaters and restaurants.

Its especially gret to have the Pacuare and Reventazon rivers with their breathtaking gorges and incredible rapids. The Pacuare has been designated by National Geographic Magazine & the Discovery Channel as one of the top five most beautiful rivers in the world for white water rafting and kayaking! T

Turrialba was once a busy hub for train and road traffic between San Jose and the Caribbean Port of Limon, but the advent of a new highway just to the north caused the town to become a sleepy until recently. Now it is emerging as a center for adventure and nature for a new generation adventure travelers who seek canyons, rivers, waterfalls, trails, and very friendly hosts.

The streets of Turrialba always seem to be teeming with activity . New businesses are opening almost every day and more and more visitors coming.

I hope to see you here very soon.
